Snaplan ("Snaplan," "we," "us," or "the app") is a personal calendar app that lets you add appointments and tasks by snapping a photo, typing, or speaking. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.
If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is stored in a hashed (irreversible) form — we never store it in plain text. You stay signed in using a secure session cookie.
Your calendar content. The app stores the appointments and tasks you create — for example titles, dates, times, locations, addresses, notes, and reminder settings. This is the core data the app exists to manage.
Photos and images. When you use the photo-scanning feature, the image you capture with the camera or select from your photo library is sent to our backend and to our AI provider (OpenAI) to read the appointment or schedule details from it. The app only accesses your camera or photo library when you actively choose to scan an image.
Voice and audio. When you use the voice feature, the audio you record is sent to our backend and to OpenAI to transcribe what you said into text. The app only accesses your microphone while you are actively recording.
Basic technical information. Like any online service, our servers keep limited operational logs (such as IP address and timestamps) needed to run the service, keep it secure, and fix problems.
We use your information only to provide and operate Snaplan:
